A Darkened Road
A Non-Fiction piece I wrote about my mom and the life lessons she’s instilled in me from the day I was born. As much as I hate to boost her narcissistic ego, I really really hope that this made her feel something.
Mi mayor inspiración viene de mi mejor amiga y la increíble mujer de quien recibí mi nombre y mi sangre, Sonia Vides.
Pages On A Bedroom Wall
A fun creative project from class meant to depict the character development of a characters defining moment.
Arya faces uncertainty about her career and the dreams she’s afraid of voicing out loud. After being given an unwarranted push from her roommate, she has to decide between keeping her private thoughts stay private, or taking a risk for the sake of a dream.
The Echo
A piece inspired by a sermon from Pastor Bryan at Northplace Garland.
This one is for anyone who has ever felt like they've talked to a void. Religion is something tricky for me - but it can be for many people. So, to anyone wondering where to turn to, I hope this helps you either find your way or feel a little less alone.
The Beeman’s
James Beeman spent his entire life knowing he and his older brother had been adopted at a very young age. Over the years, they both learned to live with the ambiguity of their previous life. However, the curiosity and the hope of learning the truth– though never sought– was never lost.
This story is based on the real events of the story of the Tinnan-Beemans, but is crafted in a fictional lens. While the facts of the story have been based on and quoted from the interview I had with Mr. James Beeman and his family, the scenes included have been crafted from my take on the events.
